Service terms

Last updated: October 18, 2026

These terms apply when you use this website or book services from #1 BackflowCare, Inc. (“BackflowCare”, “we”, “us”). By submitting a booking or using our services you agree to them. If you have questions, contact us at service@backflowcare.com or (888) 505-1022.

1. Our services

We provide backflow prevention assembly testing and minor repairs (under $1,000, not requiring a permit) for residential and commercial properties. We are not a licensed contractor and do not install or replace backflow prevention assemblies. Tests are performed by certified backflow testers, either our own staff or independent certified testers working on our behalf.

2. Booking requests

Submitting the booking form is a request, not a confirmed appointment. We review your location and device details and then confirm the service, price and next steps, including payment instructions. We may decline a request, for example if the address is outside our service area.

3. Access to the device

You are responsible for giving us safe access to the backflow device on the scheduled date (for example, unlocked gates, accessible enclosures and restrained pets), and for having the authority to allow work at the property. Testing requires a brief shut-off of the water supply through the device. If we cannot access the device, a return visit may be charged.

4. Test results and filing

We record the results of each test and submit them to your water district in the format it requires. A passing result shows the device was working at the time of the test; it is not a guarantee of future performance. Your water district sets its own rules, deadlines and fees, and its decisions are outside our control.

5. Failed tests and repairs

If a device fails, we will explain what failed and the options. Minor repairs are quoted separately and are only carried out with your approval, and repaired devices are retested. If a device needs replacing, or a repair would cost $1,000 or more or need a permit, you will need a licensed plumbing contractor for that work. We can refer you to one, but any work they do is under their own contract with you, not ours.

6. Prices and payment

We offer straightforward upfront pricing with no surprises. Some water districts charge their own fees (e.g. San Francisco’s $30 tag fee), which are not included in our price and are charged separately. Additional fees may apply to non-standard backflow devices (2″ pipe diameter or greater) and to devices that are not easily accessible or not located close to the water meter.

Prices shown on this website are in US dollars and may change; the price confirmed for your booking applies. The $25new-customer coupon is for first-time customers only, one per customer and property, and cannot be combined with other offers. Payment is due as described in your booking confirmation.

7. Service plans

The annual Service Plan covers one standard backflow test per year at the plan price and renews each year until cancelled. You can cancel the annual plan at any time before your next annual test. The Prepaid 3-Year Service Plan covers three annual tests, paid in advance. Plans apply to the device(s) and address named when you sign up. Contact us to cancel a plan or ask about changes.

8. Rescheduling and cancellations

Please let us know as early as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.

9. Using this website

The information on this website is general information about backflow prevention and is provided for convenience. Requirements differ between water districts, so always follow the instructions from your own water district. You agree not to misuse this website, for example by submitting false information or automated (spam) submissions. The content, logo and design of this website belong to BackflowCare and may not be copied without permission, except the third-party photos and map data listed under Photo and map credits below.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for problems caused by the condition of existing plumbing, devices or equipment that we did not install or repair. Our total liability for any service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under California consumer protection law.

11. Privacy

How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Notice.

12. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted on this page, with its “last updated” date, applies.
